Abundant Earth Fiber is a small family-run fiber arts business founded on the belief that the earth gives abundantly for us to thrive. We are devoted to high quality stewardship over the natural materials we love so much, and we know that meaningful craft generates nourishing connections with the natural world, with each other and within ourselves.

2014 : Lydia Christiansen founds Abundant Earth Fiber mill in Washington state, on the south end of Whidbey Island. The fiber mill processes local and domestic wool and other natural fibers into high quality knitting and weaving yarn for regional farms and fiber arts businesses.

2017 : Abundant Earth Fiber launches the first Wool Tincture Dye palette, and introduces the revolutionary dye system to the fiber arts community at Madrona Fiber Arts Festival in Tacoma, Washington.

2024 : After 10 years of milling and promoting sustainable small batch wool, the fiber milling equipment is sold to Skagit Woolen Works in Mount Vernon, Washington. Abundand Earth Fiber relocates to northeast Tennessee and transitions into an online retailer of Wool Tincture Dyes and other fiber arts supplies.

2026 : Cotton Tincture Dyes are launched alongside a spectrum of new colors in the Wool Tincture Dye palette bringing the total to 58 Tincture Dye hues!
