Our Hand Dyed US Merino Minis are 2 ounce roving bundles in every Wool Tincture color available. Hand spinners, felters, and fiber artists will appreciate the attention to detail that has gone into sourcing and preparing this roving. Our vibrant colors have been dyed with a clear exhaust so none of the color will rub off on your fingers and each bundle is pin-drafted after dyeing for an extra smooth draft as you spin. The wool used is 100% non-superwash Merino raised and milled in the United States.

A first time customer, I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve been hand spinning for over 30 years, and this merino roving is top quality. Beautifully prepared, easy and pleasurable to spin. I typically prefer starting with a fresh fleece to spinning prepared top, but this doesn’t spin like an overly processed top. And the color is rich and glorious.

United StatesEasy To Spin and Super Soft.
I loved spinning this. It is some of the best US fiber that I have spun. It spins as easily as combed top even though the listing is for roving. I had very few pieces to pick out. It is well processed and I plan on buying more in the future. Get some! You will love it. My first batch I spun with short forward drafting to make a traditional worsted spun yarn. I have attached a photo. I plan on making coils with some of the others and I am sure it will work beautifully.
