Our Signature Blend Roving in 11 heathered colors is made from dual-purpose wool raised just a stone's throw from our little mill. Many lush pastures dotted with sheep stretch across Whidbey Island to the Olympic Peninsula, and north to the San Juans. Our local family farms devote their livelihood to shepherding a range of dual-purpose breeds including East Fresian, Coopworth, Corriedale and Dorset. We sincerely hope this dyed-in-the-wool blend demonstrates the abundant and profound love for land and sheep found here in the Pacific Northwest.
Our Signature Blend roving is a delight for handspinning as well as an excellent choice for needle felting.

Lovely color, very nuanced and beautiful. Roving is cleaner than I expected. Will be returning for more. This blend is just wonderful.
I was introduced to this beautiful blend in one of Kate Larson's spinning classes at John C. Campbell Folk School and immediately ordered more. I love the range or colorways, and I find it's easy to spin longdraw from this preparation. I quickly ordered more colors!
I absolutely love this fiber! Perfect for spinning and the colors are awesome.
I've tried the sampler pack of this fantastic blend and knew it would be perfect for a woolen spun sweater. I reached out to see if I could get a large quantity and Alan was so helpful! This mill is doing such good work, and the colors on this blend lend a wonderful tweedy effect to the yarn. I love it!
Sweet fiber. Highly recommend. This wool is bar none the most beautifully dyed and blended roving I have come across, and it hails from the US - all local product. Super wool!
Great roving, very happy I purchased this. I am enjoying spinning it immensely. Knowing that it is domestically grown, processed and supports local ranches is so wonderful. I look forward to ordering more colors, as soon as they are available. The white and natural fiber has a more vm and dirt than the dyed fiber did.
I will order more over and over again.
This roving is wonderful to work with - using it on my drop spindle (just learned how to use a drop spindle, from a great teacher, and I am addicted big time!) The Signature Blend Roving has been great to spin with, it is a beautiful color combination and roving is consistent throughout. Quality yarn at the end of this process, even at my “still learning” stage. I highly recommend!
Came over from Port Townsend. Just loved the fibers and colors , and the friendly service. Hoping to be back soon
I love this roving! If got a beautiful, slightly heathered color depth when I spun from it, and couldn’t help but stop and admire it as I spun! I bought a few colors when I was taking a spinning wheel class at my local LYS and had a rental wheel for a few weeks. As a beginner, I found this puffy fiber super easy to handle and got a beautiful worsted spin two-ply worsted weight that was fairly consistent. Can’t wait to knit something amazing with it! One thing to know is that there was a fair amount of tiny VM I picked out or shook out easily when I predrafted. It doesn’t bother me at all, but thought I’d mention it for someone who might be bothered by that. Personally, I’m super happy to support a small mill that’s in my state and who makes amazing roving. I’ll be buying more when I get my own wheel!
I am very pleased with the quality and colors of the roving I purchased. The order arrived promptly and I can't wait to start spinning!
Beautiful colors and gorgeous fiber: I just want to snuggle it more than anything but I can’t wait to spin it and see the yarn it makes.
I was delighted with my recent purchases. The roving feels lofty and "real." I will definitely be back for more.
Beautiful roving and can’t wait to spin it up!
