This bulky 4-ply in white or gray is spun with 100% domestic, non-superwash Merino. It's unique quality is balance. I love this yarn. I’ve made a few hats and a cowl using Earth Song, both natural and after dying. The yarn is easy to work with, every project holds its shape over time and it’s just got enough lanolin in it to make my hands feel soft while knitting. It’s perfect!

This yarn is rated bulky, but I am a tight knitter so needed the heft to achieve my target gauge in certain patterns. I got about 19 stitches per 4 inches on size 8 needles, and 22 stitches per 4 inches on size 4. Using lower than size 8 resulted in extra tight, dense fabric. The four plys makes it behave very well, and look more polished than your average bulky.

I love this natural, locally milled yarn! It is so squishy and soft, my 4 year old is loving to finger knit with it and I am excited to dye the rest with plants!

I think I purchased the white variety and made a hat. Love the yarn...the larger ply is really nice to work with. Highly recommend Abundant Fiber. I do mention AF when I show off my hats on Facebook! Thanks for offering such wonderful yarns!

I popped into the new retail space just to poke around - what a treat! The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. I purchased a merino in 2 colors - made a hat - really pleased with the knitability of this yarn. It feels great and the hat looks great!

Lovely experience
The proprietors of the mill were so generous with their time, taking us on a tour and explaining the it all--their origin story, the sourcing, and the equipment. My Earth Song is just the squishiest, sproingiest, softest, bulky yarn I've ever worked with. It's knitting up into the best bobbly sheep pillow ever.

Lovely yarn!
This bulky yarn feels great in your hands while knitting your project. I have made one hat using this yarn and it's so plush. I love merino wool and I will continue buying this, I really like that it's non-superwash.
